In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work Fetching water by Adam Styka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,400.00 (€ 23,699.00), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Adam Styka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A negotiation in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 137,750.00 (€ 163,196.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fetching water von Adam Styka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 23.699,00) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Styka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A negotiation im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.750,00 (€ 163.196,55).
