Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (From The Snow White Series) by Abbas Kiarostami for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,588.33). This price was achieved in the auction International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abbas Kiarostami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (From The Snow White Series) von Abbas Kiarostami für USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.588,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17) versteigert wurde.
