Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (#90) by Abbas Kiarostami was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,267.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abbas Kiarostami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (#90) von Abbas Kiarostami wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.267,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17).
