Auction result misses estimated price range

In September 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Hideaway by Aaron Spangler for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,159.29). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Aaron Spangler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Race Among The Ruins in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 37,463.76).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im September 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Hideaway von Aaron Spangler für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.159,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Spangler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Race Among The Ruins im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 37.463,76).
