Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Aaron Spangler could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online: NYC auction, the work Old Dead Trees, 2004 changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 533.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aaron Spangler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Race Among The Ruins in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 37,463.76).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Aaron Spangler konnte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC wechselte die Arbeit Old Dead Trees, 2004 für USD 625,00 (€ 533,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aaron Spangler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Race Among The Ruins im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 37.463,76).
