Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Over The Falls by Aaron Bobrow was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,538.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Bobrow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work B.I.G., which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,960.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Over The Falls von Aaron Bobrow im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.538,05) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Aaron Bobrow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit B.I.G. beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.960,69) versteigert wurde.
