Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2002 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART, which included the work Durian by Zhou Bichu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 143,400.00 (€ 20,422.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Bichu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jiaxing Misty Rain Pavilion in April this year with an auction result of HKD 744,000.00 (€ 759,769.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2002 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Durian von Zhou Bichu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 143.400,00 (€ 20.422,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Bichu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jiaxing Misty Rain Pavilion im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 744.000,00 (€ 759.769,57).
