This artwork by Zhou Bichu achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Lilies sold for HKD 1,298,000.00 (€ 142,860.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 650,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Bichu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jiaxing Misty Rain Pavilion in April this year with an auction result of HKD 744,000.00 (€ 759,769.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhou Bichu erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Lilies für HKD 1.298.000,00 (€ 142.860,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 650.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Bichu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jiaxing Misty Rain Pavilion im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 744.000,00 (€ 759.769,57).
