Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Emperor Camel Wearing Sunglasses by Zhou Tiehai was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,507.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Tiehai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
