Upper estimate price exceeded by 73 %.
In November 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included this untitled work by Zhou Tiehai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 138,600.00 (€ 15,410.92), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Tiehai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
