Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART, which included the work Zhu Village by Zhou Bichu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 83,650.00 (€ 10,853.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Bichu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jiaxing Misty Rain Pavilion in April this year with an auction result of HKD 744,000.00 (€ 759,769.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zhu Village von Zhou Bichu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 83.650,00 (€ 10.853,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Bichu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jiaxing Misty Rain Pavilion im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 744.000,00 (€ 759.769,57).
