Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Birth Of Venus by Zhong Biao was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 8,331.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhong Biao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marksman in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 121,000.00 (€ 76,558.05).

Die Arbeit The Birth Of Venus von Zhong Biao wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 8.331,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhong Biao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marksman im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.000,00 (€ 76.558,05).
