The work Temple in the Hill by Zhao Zuo was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,229.35), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 506,500.00 (€ 393,979.46).

Die Arbeit Temple in the Hill von Zhao Zuo wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.229,35) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 506.500,00 (€ 393.979,46).
