This artwork by Zhao Zuo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Fishing sold for HKD 113,525.00 (€ 7,369.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 506,500.00 (€ 393,979.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Zuo erzielte im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Fishing für HKD 113.525,00 (€ 7.369,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 506.500,00 (€ 393.979,46).
