In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Autumn Landscape by Zhao Zuo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,044.99), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 506,500.00 (€ 393,979.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Landscape von Zhao Zuo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.044,99) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 506.500,00 (€ 393.979,46).
