Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Conversing In Autumn Mountain by Zhao Zuo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,945.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 506,500.00 (€ 393,979.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Conversing In Autumn Mountain von Zhao Zuo kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.945,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 506.500,00 (€ 393.979,46).
