A top price for Zhao Zuo
When the work Landscape by Zhao Zuo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2012, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 120,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 506,500.00 (€ 393,979.46). This high result makes Landscape the most expensive artwork by Zhao Zuo that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Zhao Zuo
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Zhao Zuo im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 120.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 506.500,00 (€ 393.979,46) mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Landscape zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Zhao Zuo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
