This artwork by Zhao Bo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle auction, the work Sacred Forest - Untitled sold for HKD 163,800.00 (€ 20,326.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhao Bo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frozen Planet No. 2 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Bo erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle wurde die Arbeit Sacred Forest - Untitled für HKD 163.800,00 (€ 20.326,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Bo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frozen Planet No. 2 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
