Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhao Bo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Flowers Blooming - No. 3 sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhao Bo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Frozen Planet No. 2 sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Bo erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Flowers Blooming - No. 3 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhao Bo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Frozen Planet No. 2 im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
