Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Zhang Yuzhao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,417.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Yuzhao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four-Character Couplet in Running Script in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 322,000.00 (€ 32,055.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Zhang Yuzhao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.417,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Yuzhao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four-Character Couplet in Running Script im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 322.000,00 (€ 32.055,87).
