A top price for Zhang Yuzhao
This artwork by Zhang Yuzhao achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Four-Character Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 322,000.00 (€ 32,055.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. This high result makes Four-Character Couplet in Running Script the most expensive artwork by Zhang Yuzhao that we have observed at auctions so far.
