Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Zhang Yuzhao was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. It achieved a price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,375.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Yuzhao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four-Character Couplet in Running Script in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 322,000.00 (€ 32,055.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Zhang Yuzhao kam im September 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.375,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Yuzhao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four-Character Couplet in Running Script im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 322.000,00 (€ 32.055,87).
