Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rose by Zhang Xin was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,345.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hibiscus and Flowering Cassia in May last year with an auction result of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,715.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rose von Zhang Xin wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.345,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hibiscus and Flowering Cassia im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 12.715,07).
