Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wisteria And Peonies by Zhang Xin was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,991.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Zhang Xin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Hibiscus and Flowering Cassia was auctioned for HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,715.07).
