Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Wisterias and Peonies by Zhang Xin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,197.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Xin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hibiscus and Flowering Cassia, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,715.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wisterias and Peonies von Zhang Xin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.197,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hibiscus and Flowering Cassia beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 107.100,00 (€ 12.715,07) versteigert wurde.
