In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Goose by Zhang Wentao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 38,400.00 (€ 4,271.47), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Wentao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 483,000.00 (€ 44,922.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goose von Zhang Wentao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 38.400,00 (€ 4.271,47) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Wentao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 483.000,00 (€ 44.922,13).
