Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Wentao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,629.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Wentao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 483,000.00 (€ 44,922.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Wentao wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.629,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Wentao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 483.000,00 (€ 44.922,13).
