Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work Fishes by Zhang Wentao. The price achieved of HKD 47,200.00 (€ 5,314.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Wentao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 483,000.00 (€ 44,922.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishes von Zhang Wentao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 5.314,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Wentao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 483.000,00 (€ 44.922,13).
