Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chrysanthemum by Zhang Wentao was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 35,400.00 (€ 3,896.19), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Wentao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 483,000.00 (€ 44,922.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von Zhang Wentao wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 35.400,00 (€ 3.896,19) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Wentao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 483.000,00 (€ 44.922,13).
