This artwork by Zhang Tingji achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-Character Couplet In Clerical Script sold for HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,326.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Tingji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Standard Script in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Tingji erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Clerical Script für HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.326,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Tingji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97).
