Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script by Zhang Tingji for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,315.07). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Tingji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Standard Script in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script von Zhang Tingji für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.315,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Tingji erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97).
