Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Li Script by Zhang Tingji. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,446.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Tingji - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Standard Script, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Li Script von Zhang Tingji zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.446,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Tingji mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97) versteigert wurde.
