Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Linhai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Paradise Series No. 32 sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 36,377.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Linhai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Flag in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Linhai erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Paradise Series No. 32 für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 36.377,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Linhai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Flag im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85).
