Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Splendid Sun by Zhang Linhai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 937,500.00 (€ 88,885.42), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Linhai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Flag, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Splendid Sun von Zhang Linhai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 88.885,42) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Linhai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Flag beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85) versteigert wurde.
