Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Linhai could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Paradise No. 2 changed hands for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,716.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Linhai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Flag in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Linhai konnte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Paradise No. 2 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.716,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Linhai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Flag im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85).
