This artwork by Zeng Chuanxing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2008. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale (Afternoon Session) auction, the work Paper Bride sold for GBP 132,500.00 (€ 173,304.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zeng Chuanxing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paper Bride - Prayer, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 5,024,000.00 (€ 478,387.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zeng Chuanxing erzielte im Februar 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale (Afternoon Session) wurde die Arbeit Paper Bride für GBP 132.500,00 (€ 173.304,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zeng Chuanxing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paper Bride - Prayer beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 5.024.000,00 (€ 478.387,27) versteigert wurde.
