Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations, which included the work Untitled (the green man) by Yvan Theys. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yvan Theys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 6,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (the green man) von Yvan Theys zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yvan Theys mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 6.250,00 versteigert wurde.
