A top price for Yvan Theys - as previously expected
In June 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art, which included the work Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding by Yvan Theys. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding is the most expensive artwork by Yvan Theys that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding von Yvan Theys zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yvan Theys, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
