Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Head by Yusuf Grillo was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 190,900.00 (€ 219,206.24). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yusuf Grillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Seventh Knot, 1969 (Framed), which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 403,500.00 (€ 459,059.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Head von Yusuf Grillo kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 190.900,00 (€ 219.206,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yusuf Grillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Seventh Knot, 1969 (Framed) beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 403.500,00 (€ 459.059,19) versteigert wurde.
