Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hat(Painted In 1920S) by Yun Gee was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. The price achieved of HKD 413,000.00 (€ 46,861.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yun Gee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old Broadway in Winter in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 58,600,000.00 (€ 6,402,313.62).
