The work Studio Under Tung Tree by Yu Ming was sold in the Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,899.75), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monk; Scholar By The Pond, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).

Die Arbeit Studio Under Tung Tree von Yu Ming wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.899,75) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monk; Scholar By The Pond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09) versteigert wurde.
