Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scholar In A Red Robe by Yu Ming was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,430.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monk; Scholar By The Pond, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scholar In A Red Robe von Yu Ming kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.430,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monk; Scholar By The Pond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09) versteigert wurde.
