This artwork by Yousef Ahmad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work The Letter "Noon" sold for USD 43,000.00 (€ 29,720.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yousef Ahmad; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Movement of The Letter sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,891.06).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yousef Ahmad erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Letter "Noon" für USD 43.000,00 (€ 29.720,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yousef Ahmad; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Movement of The Letter im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.891,06).
