Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yousef Ahmad could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction, the work Enter Safely & Securely (Id'khuluu Besalam A'min ) changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,291.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yousef Ahmad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Movement of The Letter in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,891.06).
