Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yousef Ahmad could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction, the work Do You Not See ('Afala Tubsiroon) changed hands for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,533.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yousef Ahmad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Movement of The Letter, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,891.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yousef Ahmad konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Do You Not See ('Afala Tubsiroon) für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.533,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yousef Ahmad mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Movement of The Letter beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.891,06) versteigert wurde.
