Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Hurouf: The Art of The Word, which included the work Movement Of Letter by Yousef Ahmad. It changed hands for a price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,797.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Yousef Ahmad have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Movement of The Letter was auctioned for USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,891.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Hurouf: The Art of The Word durch, in der auch die Arbeit Movement Of Letter von Yousef Ahmad zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 35.797,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Yousef Ahmad konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2008 die Arbeit Movement of The Letter für USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.891,06) versteigert.
