Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yousef Ahmad could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction, the work Letter of Love I changed hands for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,051.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yousef Ahmad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Movement of The Letter in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,891.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yousef Ahmad konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Letter of Love I für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.051,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yousef Ahmad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Movement of The Letter im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.891,06).
