Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Yokoyama Taikan was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The price achieved of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,349.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yokoyama Taikan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miho no Fujisan (Mount Fuji from Miho) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 358,000.00 (€ 411,778.24).
