Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hisen (Waterfall), 1931 by Yokoyama Taikan was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2006. It achieved a price of USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yokoyama Taikan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miho no Fujisan (Mount Fuji from Miho) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 358,000.00 (€ 411,778.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hisen (Waterfall), 1931 von Yokoyama Taikan kam im März 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yokoyama Taikan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miho no Fujisan (Mount Fuji from Miho) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 358.000,00 (€ 411.778,24).
