Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Four Spoons" by Yoko Ono was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 55,000.00 (€ 5,408.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yoko Ono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Play It By Trust in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 94,187.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Four Spoons" von Yoko Ono wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 55.000,00 (€ 5.408,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yoko Ono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Play It By Trust im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 116.500,00 (€ 94.187,08).
